Family Impact Lunch - How to Make Time Matter

All Parents and their children/youth are invited to have lunch with us as we appreciate the value of families, figure out together the best ways for parents to spend time with their children, and compete in a few rounds of "Family Fued".

Pastor Jenn (Children's Pastor) and Pastor Steve (Youth Pastor) look forward to leading round table discussion in regards to spending quality time together as a family. Their combined 25 years of ministry experience and experience as parents (Jenn has two youth and Steve have 5 children ages 1-13),

TOPIC: Time Management for a Busy Family

The round table discussion will allow for parents to select what age group they would like to focus on for the time together.

We would love for you to join - even it's just for the food and dad jokes!

Mountain Park's Leadership Equipping experience

Friday, February 2, 6:30 – 9:15 pm to Saturday, February 3, 8:30 – noon @ ASIA

What’s it all about: "A weekend event to Shape and Sharpen your leadership skills.” This is your opportunity to discover your spiritual gifts and how to implement them in serving the family of God.

Who Should Attend: Everyone in our church is encouraged to attend to be better EQUIPPED for service in the body of Christ

Guest Speaker: Dr. Bill Hogg who is a missional strategist with the C2C network. ( C2C is the church planting wing of the Mennonite Brethren) Bill has been a pastor, radio host, an evangelist with Youth for Christ and is most famous for being a husband to Morag and father to Peter and Naomi. You will enjoy his insights into God’s word, prophetic gifting and possibly his sense of humor might convince you that Scottish is actually a language!

Childcare is available Friday and Saturday.

Please bring a healthy dessert or snack to share Friday night.

Grad Honouring Young Adults Retreat

HS grads, those in grade 11, and Young Adults.....Join us in a relaxed (hello hot tub!), beautiful, fully accommodating cabin in the Merritt area right on the lake (hello campfire)!

Expect to laugh, eat, have meaning conversations, and reflect on where God desires your next steps in life to be.

Mexico Missions Trip to CDL

April 20th - April 28th, 2018


Our team of 26 will serve in practical ways such as playing with and teaching children, praying for the staff or whatever needs the Casa de Luz facility and team house may need to bring the love of Jesus!

The team will reach out to the poor, start building projects, have neighbourhood parties, have some valuable worship and devotion time together!

It all happens in Primo Tapia, Baja, Mexico! We will partner and stay with Casa de Luz (CDL)! This children's home has been helping single mothers since August of 2012. The children at CDL have the opportunity to be cared for and receive the love of Jesus while their mothers work. Since the fathers have abandoned them, the children would otherwise be left alone.

The MP team will stay in the team house at CDL. Bunk beds and bedding are all provided! Flush toilets and showers and a full kitchen is available for the team to cook their own meals.

The trip is intergenerational for families and those who are single. A teen under the age of 16 would require a parent or guardian to accompany them.

Family Discount of 10% off after second family member! Included in the cost are all expenses such as food, accommodations, travel, and ministry expenses:

Flight costs will most likely positively effect costs ($50-$75/each off currents costs). Will NOT be more.

Proof of passport required 6 weeks BEFORE trip date.

  • $100.00 deposit per PERSON required by Sunday, January 21st (non-fundable).

As a TEAM we will decide when the two training days will be. The training days prepare us for our time in Mexico with a focus on teamwork and communicating the love of Jesus in Mexico.

HistoryMaker Youth Conference

May 25th - May 27th, 2018

Grade 8 - 12 - experience excitement with great bands, speakers, and activities for the entire weekend - all proclaiming the truth of Jesus!

The venue is Chilliwack Prospera Centre. Go here for History Maker details.

Overnight stay will be a camp out at Mountain Park Church's Ministry Centre.

Non-refundable deposit of $20 due Feb 26th.

Cost includes:

  • History Maker admission
  • Food for entire weekend (pizza on Friday for dinner)

Middle School Camp Experience

FUNDRAISING for Stillwood Camp Experience starts Jan 14th!

All those currently in grade 5-7 have this amazing opportunity to go summer camp with youth within their church community! We love building relationships - and camp is one of the best ways to do it!

High-octane fun is up for grabs at Turbo with Stillwood Camp. You can expect to discover valuable new friendships, adrenalin-pumping activities, and long-lasting memories. Two goals that we hope to meet are: to provide each camper with an opportunity to grow in their relationship with God, and to give each camper the best week of their summer!

Register to go with Mountain Park to participate in the Purdy's fundraiser! Fundraising begins Jan 14th! If interested, select the fundraising box when registering.
